FAQ

Can self-tanner damage the complexion?
Self-tanners are a skin-friendly way of tanning. Instead of harmful UV radiation, the sugar molecule DHA is used in our Soleil d'Eze series. This reacts naturally with the top layer of skin, the horny layer. This will naturally turn brown in 6-8 hours.
Which tanning products are suitable for the face?
Since it is significantly thinner, more delicate and more sensitive than the rest of our skin, caution is advised. That is why we have developed our Sun Drops especially for the face, neck and décolleté. Simply mix into the body lotion or face cream. Without the risk of accelerating skin aging or clogging pores. Which tanning intensity suits my skin type? In order to get an absolutely natural tanning look, you have to be careful when choosing the tanning product. Only choose products that are just a few shades darker than your skin. You can easily intensify the tanning result by applying the products several times. The variants of the tanning mousse are suitable for the following skin tones:
Tanning Mousse Medium: For very light to light skin types.
Tanning Mousse Dark: For medium to dark skin types.
How do I properly prepare the skin for the self-tanner?
A smooth and fine skin forms the best possible basis for a long-lasting, even tint. To ensure this, the skin should be freed from dead skin cells, calluses, etc. Our Preparation Peeling is perfect for this. This cleanses the skin with black rice wax and contributes to the renewal of the skin cells. Because smoother skin will always show better tanning results. You should also think about elbows, heels and knees. Should you also want to wax or shave, the tanning products can be applied 6 hours later, without this in 2-3 hours. This gives your skin the opportunity to calm down.
What makes our tanning mousse so special?
Moist skin absorbs color best, even science confirms this. Therefore, our tanning mousse nourishes the skin intensively with moisture. Therefore, the tan can unfold much better. For a long-lasting result, the use of a light lotion is recommended. As a result, the intensive tan remains and also disappears more evenly. Even better results are achieved with our Magic Lotion, which not only moisturizes after using the tanning mousse, but also gives you a slight tan.
No-go's before self-tanning
In order to avoid uneven tanning, some things should be avoided. A long bath leads to swollen skin. Shaving, waxing or epilating your skin will cause your skin to become unsettled, which will distort the results.
The correct application of the tanning mousse?
Together with our tanning glove, rub the mousse in circular movements onto the large areas of the skin. Then use the remaining mousse to go over small areas such as joints, hands or knees. Thanks to the instant effect, it is immediately apparent where you have already been. Then wait until the skin has dried before you can put your clothes back on.
If you want to leave the self-tanner on overnight, a long-sleeved top is recommended. When you sleep you sweat easily, so the sweat will collect in the crook of your arm, this can lead to abrasion of the self-tanner when sleeping with bent arms. A longer exposure time without wearing clothes is always recommended. The best tanning results are achieved if you do not shower or exercise during the 6-hour exposure time.
Is a permanent tan possible?
By using self-tanning lotion, the uppermost layer of skin is colored, the horny layer. This is constantly renewed, this is done by detaching the small skin flakes. The artificial tan lasts about 3-4 days. This duration can be extended by exfoliating the skin before applying self-tanner. After using the self-tanner, its effect can be prolonged by using a rich moisturizing cream. For a lasting tan, permanent use of self-tanner is recommended.
First time self tanner?
It is best to approach self-tanner slowly. To start, it is best to use a low dose of a light tanning agent. After that you can increase step by step.
Do self-tanners protect against UV radiation and sunburn?
No. Your artificial tan does not protect you against UV radiation. Self-tanners do not have a sun protection factor. Always use extra sunscreen when you are outdoors for a long time.
